VISION: Transforming Possibilities into Probabilities

Printer-Friendly Format

What's your vision for 2007?

With the possibilities of the new year stretched out before us, now is a great time to explore your vision for the year.

As Rick Pitino says in his book, Lead to Succeed: "All the great leaders have been people of great vision, men and women able to provide insight into what is possible. Vision is your view of the group's future, the place you want to be after the transformation is complete."

Leadership author John Maxell echoes his statements when he says, "All effective leaders have a vision of what they must accomplish. That vision becomes the energy behind every effort and the force that pushes through all the problems. With vision, the leader is on a mission and a contagious spirit is felt among the crowd until others begin to rise alongside the leader."

So what's your vision for your team in 2007? What could you and your team achieve if you really set your hearts and minds to it?

As a leader, success starts with your vision of the future. Your vision is the catalyst which transforms the impossible into the possible - the possible into the probable - and the probable into the actual.

Invest the time to formulate your vision for 2007... What exciting possibilities are out there for your team? You've got to see the possibilities and truly believe in them before you can sell them to your team.

What's your vision for the new year?
