Wake Forest to Launch Leadership Academy

Printer-Friendly Format

Developing Wake Forest's Next Generation of Leaders

Wake Forest is the latest school to partner with the Janssen Sports Leadership Center to create a Leadership Academy. Wake Forest joins North Carolina, Stanford, Pitt, Yale, Baylor, Illinois, and Winston-Salem State in creating a comprehensive, ongoing leadership development program for their student-athletes and coaches.

The Academy uses a two-tiered format targeting both emerging leaders and veteran leaders. The Wake Forest coaching staff is also involved in ongoing leadership development workshops.

Dr. Greg Shelley, a top associate of the Janssen Sports Leadership Center, will be the primary facilitator of the Academy.

Special thanks to athletic director Ron Wellman and life skills director Julie Griffin for their initiative and support in creating the innovative Leadership Academy.
