The new Captain's Camp begins with a concentrated, one-day Sports Leadership Camp for high school and college student-athletes. This dynamic, 6-hour interactive and intensive program provides emerging and existing student-athlete leaders with the leadership tools and insights they need to be responsible and respected leaders for their team and school. Sixty-three percent of coaches and athletic administrators feel their leaders are NOT prepared to lead effectively. Through this camp and ongoing leadership development program, we want to prepare, develop, inspire, and support leaders who will make a difference in sports, school, and life.

RECEIVE 6 HOURS OF INTENSIVE LEADERSHIP TRAINING PLUS 6 MONTHS OF ONLINE LEADERSHIP SUPPORT!

In addition to the day-long program of intensive leadership training, student-athletes will receive ongoing leadership development and support through our online TeamCaptainsNetwork.com and The Team Captain's Leadership Manual. Thus, the program is much more than a one-day camp. Student-athletes will be engaged in a 6-month, ongoing leadership development and support program that is kicked off with the 6-hour comprehensive Captain's Camp.

What Xavier Student-Athletes Said about the Captain's Camp:

I really enjoyed the Captain's Camp. I now have many great leadership ideas to bring back to my program. It was awesome! Thanks so much!

The Captain's Camp really pinpointed things that being a leader is all about. This program was great. I wouldn't change anything because I learned so much about myself and team.

I really enjoyed the activities we participated in. They taught me a lot of new aspects of leadership and teamwork. I enjoyed hearing about how to cope with individuals who are not as committed.

I loved the whole thing. The Captain's Camp was a great learning experience. It was GREAT!!!!!

Participating in the hands on activities was really effective. Also, the personal stories made it easy for me to relate to. Job well done!

The hands on activities kept my attention and helped me to understand what a leader should do in real life situation. I thought the conversations afterwards about the activities were helpful also. Thank you!

I really enjoyed and found helpful the team building activities. Not only did it help show me how to lead my team, but I also met student-athlete leaders from other sports. I met several other people I can turn to now to help me lead.

The stories about the actual teams around the nation using the program were very effective. The Commitment Continuum was also a great visual aid and really made me think about my team and myself as well. That is something I know I'll for sure think about for the rest of the season.
